If this were not the carbon cycle, more and more absorbed in the organic matter is decomposed. Finally, the concentration of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere and the oceans to the point that photoautotrophic producers could make more sugar would be, then that is life as we know they reduce the end.
... This is what would happen if it is not human, anyway. People burn things. I suspect that would be enough to burn to keep atmospheric carbon dioxide.
