Occupational Therapy Insurance Health Insurance Transfer Question?

Health insurance transfer question? - occupational therapy insurance

My grandmother has recently suffered a stroke and have Medicare insurance and secondary schools. She was received in a nursing home in the last two months of occupational therapy. On 19 April, the secondary insurance will not considered medically necessary for them to continue care in nursing homes come from Medicare conclusion that it was medically necessary. They also said they would get the grandmother of the policy. I wish my grandfather in exchange for a secondary insurance company, how, however, believe that the denial of coverage and policies to make Propects could affect the grandmother can not get coverage. If the request is made before any amendment of the insurance in question?

They do not say what kind of secondary insurance, so I think it is a supplement Medicare.

First - who can not meet the grandmother of the policy. It is against the law and rules of Medicare. The insurer may be decertified if you do.

Secondly - Medicare pays only for skilled care at short notice to 100 days and only if there is a possibility that the grandmother is better and leave the house for less than 100 days. When Medicare decides that there is no way to get the best can not be denied coverage at any time within 100 days. If they will then reject the coverage of the insurance will be reduced because of the additional pay to cover health insurance for Medicare approved procedures. If she has a political policy of long-term care, then take over. If it does not (to use a policy of long-term care of their grandparents down) their assets and income, until they qualify for Medicaid too. To that point, they have to move because the house is to be approved for Medicaid. No insurance certificateOT meets the forehead, and still other procedures, but not the house.

The denial of coverage does not prevent the grandmother of the possibility of insurance, but will hurt your chances in a nursing home, completed with the majority of Medicare. Medicare Advantage will accept them in a house, but not pay for the house either.

Insurance is strange. You should talk with someone who knows who can see the current and proposed policies, etc. Consider the following resources:
Please contact your local Area on Aging
http://www.n4a.org/aboutaaas.cfm
Health Insurance Counseling - assistance to the beneficiaries of their rights and options under Medicare, Medicaid and Medicare + Choice, and information about insurance and Medigap options. "
is an offering of certain services.
Area Agencies on Aging and Title VI programs available throughout the country, call the nationwide toll-free Eldercare Locator at 1-800-677-1116.

The nursing home can help someone with experience, but I still speak with someone from AAA - Area Agency on Aging, not the people in the car:)

Imagine an independent insurance broker - again, check with the AAA, but can do some of the work of the legs for others first.

Good luck.

Go to "hit the front Arent. In violation of the law. Shes just because it does not say that access to care will not be stopped (it), it .. .. but they can be an internal examination to see if it is medically necessary to continue the type of care he receives. method when there are cheaper and equally effective to pay for what you have done and recommend a different treatment. .. You now an existing life insurance medical condition, so that it can be difficult (and I'm not sure that the various plans, Medicare Supplement ..) Maybe you should contact your insurance agent or directly after contact facts, there's something wrong.
